Hiya,

Just wondering if anyone had a pattern for some full-length breeches-type trousers lying around. Have had a little search but not very fruitful :/
Much appreciated.

Ta!

Re: ARROW HEADS

Here in the UK, Hector Cole makes some proper badass heads. I've only ever got second-hand haha but I guess you get what you pay for because they are super expensive. Richard Head Longbows also supply some nice stuff, where I get most of my heads from. They used to do some swallowtail ones for a few...

Re: English Longbow vs Magyar Horsebow - question

Archery is a sport not of strength but of concentration, The archer's nirvana is the perfect shot, not the massive poundage I'm sure many could prove me wrong, but I'd tend to disagree with that - depending on what you're shooting . In my opinion, the whole point of English Longbowmen was not 'perf...

I see what you did there. ha ha. ha. ):

I actually really like the idea of incorporating the wood into something else. Not sure what though - it was a flatbow so a bit to thin for a knife handle I think...

A very sad day...

It happened... my bow snapped :( I guess I was lucky that the first bow I made lasted that long! I think I pulled it back a couple more inches than normal to get a bit more power... and it just snapped. The top half went flying but I remained unhurt (: Just before I'd noticed some stress marks along...

Sounds like a brilliant project.

I'm into film making myself and know that funding can be really difficult. Good luck to all of you!!!

Ringulf, that's a very good point. I really hadn't considered that.

Wow - time to change technique!

Re: English Longbow vs Magyar Horsebow - question

Yea make sure you have the right technique. With my first trad bow I jumped from 25lbs to 50bls... not recommended but was able to do it as soon as I noticed what was wrong with my technique. Different sorts of bows do feel different though. Also with your horsebow the draw length to draw weight rat...

Not too bad up here, just some slates off the roof.

A bit worse down south.

Re: Bow grips

Agree with Manveruon, if you're wanting a traditional bow go as simple as you can. For performance go for shaped, but I don't think it looks very nice and you can get just as good with practice.
