Andy,
how did you dismount that paul chen seax? Is it threaded or did you just go to town and break the grip off? I've been wanting to do something with that seax but first I'd need to take that furniture off.

Owning more the a few Albions myself I would not dismount that blade. It's effect on the leather is really a matter of how much heat we're talking about and what time frame we're looking at as far as exposure goes.
