Nice stuff Eric. I've never seen a Tinker in person, they all look so nice. Did you make the clothing and scabbard yourself? I'm going to try and get some pics of my clothing up as soon as I can get outdoors. It's not so easy on the Island to take pictures in kit.

Who's going to the New York Renaissance Faire

Hello All,

Well like the subject asks, who's going to the faire? I'll be there with family in tow on the weekend of Sept 29th. If we could get a running list of who's going we could meet up, compare kits, and torture people who wear those elf ears.

The byknife is actually from the UC strider scabbard. We just polished her up a bit. I used just a rag and some metal glo and really not much elbow grease at all. I tried to remove the UC logo but I think I'll need to take her in to the shop and run the buffing wheel. Not sure if it's worth it thoug...

Pictures of your ranger kit

Hey all, Well like the subject states, I think it be great if we posted pictures of our ranger related items. I'm not exactly how to post pictures here but hey, there's always photobucket! Anyway here's a picture of my sword. It's a Christian Fletcher Boaderwatch with an Albion XVI blade. The scabba...

You can also check out Rudderbows.com I have a Medieval Siege warbow from him and just ordered a hickory backed walnut flatbow so I can tell you first hand his products are top notch. He not only sells arrows but the tools and supplies to make your own, and Jim is a great guy who's always ready to a...

I would also add "Knightly Art Of The German Longsword" By David Lindholm and Peter Svard. I found this book much simpler to follow the Fighting by Tobler in the beginning, but got more form the Tobler books later on when I had some experience. I think it's the way it's laid out and how th...

Christian Fletcher Boarderwatch

Hello all,

Just thought I'd let you all know there's a boarderwatch up at Myarmoury.com for anyone interested.

I have one with the Albion type XVI blade and I love it. This one has a Gus Trim blade.

Well I have two pairs of boots. One pair is from Son of Sandlar and the other is from Sodohoppers. I also have the MRL suede high boots, the old Sherwood ones, but I wouldn't recommend them for any extended trek as their not the most comfortable things round. In fact when my Sod hoppers get here I'm...

You know I don't think any reference is made to tin in the books but don't quote me on that. I'll take a peek in the Silmarillion and see if they mention tin as being used for pots. I don't see why from a practical sense you couldn't use it anyway. Assuming their knowledge of metals followed ours th...

For Sale: Hun Horsebow by Kassai Lajos

Hello all, Well next on the list is a Hun model Horse Bow from Horsebows.com. This bow was made in Hungary by Kassai Lajos and has horn on the syhas and a decorative horn handle depicting a running horse in the Hunnish tradition. There's a Jelling dragon motif on the red leather covering as well. Th...

For Sale: Arms and Armor Hungarian Axe

I thought I'd list this here first as a service to my Ranger brethren. I'm clearing out some weapons to make room for some future acquisitions so I'm selling my A&A Hungarian axe. New this axe was $125 plus shipping, my price will be $80 with shipping included in the CONUS. Here's a link to the ...

I have a Paul Chen Mammon axe I'd let go for $40. There's a little rust on the head but nothing some elbow grease can't get off. I picked up the A&A Norland axe so she just kinda sits in the corner now.

From the desk of Andy

Well thank the gods he's ok. Got that email just a few minutes ago and it made my day it did. I'm gonna keep those prayers going for a safe return in April and until next we speak a good day to you all as well.
