All-
I have a new, hand forged belt axe head made by Nathan Allen of Conner Prairie.
Cutting edge is right at 2 3/4" wide with the length of the head right at 4 5/8".
It is the head only.

HI:
The link doesn't take me to the pics. Can you please just post them here.

Haha, I used to work at Conner under Nathan! I don't have the funds for a belt axe right now, but I can definitely vouch for the quality of his blacksmithing. Solid work.
But more importantly, your link is incomplete.

Link definitely broken. I am looking to acquire an axe for my kit...no idea if this type would be best or something lower end would be best to start.

If you want a nice axe with period lines, that doesn't cost your other arm to own, take a look at the Cold Steel Norse Hawk. For around 30 to 35 bucks you can have one of these delivered to your local walmart to save the shipping! Just go on Walmart.com and search for it. I have been using and throwing these for years and have never been dissapointed by them. There are better axes out there, but not for the money and a starting kit!
