A new knife

A central place to talk about weapons and armour, as it relates to your kit. This is where you show it of or talk about making it. Discussing the relative merits of types of weapons goes in the WMA section.

A new knife

Post by Odigan »

I haven't any name for it, I just happen to like the pattern. 6150, fullered lenticular with filework, steel bolsters and antler scales.

Remarkable work Odigan, you really have a gift! And I love the way you photograph your work! Your presentation is as crisp and clean as your weapon making! Will you be making a scabbard for this fine piece of craftsmanship?

Thank you. There is a sheath, but I've not included photos of it as this is a gift and it is personalized.

Absolutely stunning. I love the lines and form. How does it feel in the hand?

Oh very very nicely done. I too love the line work going down the handle edge

Very nice. I like how the pattern continues from the hilt into the blade.
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Very nice. Odigan's blades are as crisp-looking and feeling in person as they are in his photos...I'm sure this one is no exception.
Now the sword shall come from under the cloak.

Wow! Absolutely beautiful! You are a truly gifted craftsman.
LOVE NOT THE BRIGHT SWORD FOR IT'S SHARPNESS OR THE ARROW FOR IT'S SWIFTNESS, BUT RATHER LOVE THAT WHICH THEY DEFEND

The way the fuller runs out the end of the blade makes it look like it was remade from a broken blade. Very nice work! the file work is lovely. Altogether a beautiful piece.

Very nicely done.
Still round the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate and though I oft have passed them by a day will come at last when I shall take the hidden paths that run west of the moon, east of the sun.
