Our beloved Charlie passed away yesterday morning at the age of 14. He was a wonderful companion and I could not have asked for a better dog. He will be missed.
Go now, run and play
I'll see you again one day
For I know you'll wait for me
and we'll be together in Summer's eternity...

"Well, what are you waiting for? I am an old man, and have no time for your falter! Come at me, if you will, for I do not sing songs of dastards!"
Oh man, I'm so sorry. We lost our companion of 17 years Cody last year, and I still miss her sometimes. It's amazing how much a part of your family pets become.
My condolences. It is tough to lose a good companion.
Still round the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate and though I oft have passed them by a day will come at last when I shall take the hidden paths that run west of the moon, east of the sun.
A good long life for a Border Collie My "Puffin" is 10 now and still pretty active though having some health issues with arthritice and absesses in her teeth. she is with my X in Chincoteague.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Perhaps you might memorialize him with an inclussion into one of your stories, so that he might live on with us.

Come be my ally, lift up your mead! We'll search out our foes and the Eagles we'll feed!
“From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.â€
Sorry to hear about this! I don't know if I can ever actually have pets myself, because I don't cope well with their loss. It sounds like he had a good long life though, and I'm sure he was well loved.
