Ooh.. and for another $20 they've got a layered/folded steel one!
I'm not personally in the market, but it looks like a great introduction to the type.
Toss the scabbard, replace with a leather-and-brass-sheet sheath, slim down and stain the grip: lots of potential there!

Our Rangers Apprentice fans could do a lot worse. I bet re-hafting either with leather washers would be trivial. :)
