Budget Bows
Well I have done some research on building bows and I found out how to make them out of PVC piping. I know it isn't as official as a wooden bow, but they shoot pretty dang well if they're made right. At one point, I just cut a piece and put a string to it, that was a no no. NOW I have learved the ar...

Re: Ranger's Apprentice Style Saxe Knife and Throwing Knife
Ernildir, I too share a love for the Ranger's Apprentice books and I too desire the ranger double scabbard. I am in the processes of making one. I have the Cold Steel Sure Balance Thrower and a Cold Steel Saxe Machete, customized but not complete, as the set. The throwing knife is 13" long with...

Metal Workers
Well this may be a longshot but I was wondering is anyone out there can make an Oak Leaf Pendant (yes like the ones in Ranger's Apprentice) out of bronze for a reasonable price? This is the shape I would like, if possible

Re: Ultimate Ranger Cloak
These are the pics :) This does go all the way to the ground but my phone wasn't clear enough to get my whole body in. You can also see my tunic and shirt I have. My outfit is pretty basic, sweatpants, leather tunic I made from an old trench coat, button up shirt, and hopefully soon a pair of good b...

Re: A Little Help
Well I had this idea of taking a brass disc sort of thing and putting a rounded pommel on the bottom, but then comes the way of attatching it. I would need to cut a slot into the circle withough cutting into the sides and I have no clue how I could manage that.

Shirt and Belt
My shirt isn't very ranger-like. Its a solid green button up shirt that I wear under my leather tunic. The shirt itself is nice but its extremely hot! It's insulated and I could go for something lighter but the same color, a dull green. And my belt buckle I had painted for my belt was unfortunately ...

Re: New Members -Introduce yourselves
Well lets see, My name is Sam Bender and I am a ranger all the way through. Love Lord of the Rings, Ranger's Apprentice, and just about anything medieval I can get my hands on. I usually go to the Renaissance Faire once a year. I shoot traditional archery as best as I can, I throw knives, and I make...

Re: Ultimate Ranger Cloak
Well I looked at some different cloak designs all over the internet and none of them were what i wanted, complete coverage. I had a simple rectangle cloak I made but thats all it was a rectangle, nothing went around the front and covered you. This cloak is three seperate pieces that fit around your ...

A Little Help
I have the 18" Sax Machete and I'm having a little problem. I bought a brass flatbar and made a crossguard. Now I need to find the leather for the handle and a thought occured: what can I use for a pommel? If anyone is familiar with the saxe knives please I could use some ideas, I'd prefer if i...
