Re: Rangers report!
Also essential...frustratingly essential, apparently, as they've got me working 6-7 days a week. However...there are perks. Took this shot at work today, and if that doesn't put one in mind of Eriador, I don't know what will. Henry W. Coe State Park, California. I love Henry Coe and Joseph Grant pa...

Re: Rangers report!
Luckily I'm still working for now. My wife was laid off last week. Definitely miss being able to leave and go out into the woods. We've been on lockdown, going on Week 4 now. The trails, nature parks are all closed here and I imagine in most places. :/ We started growing a vegetable garden but indoo...

Northmen Code of Ethics Video
I really like this video and hope you enjoy it too.
All I can envision is a Dúnedain Ranger traversing through the woods. Stoic, aware and in awe of the wilderness that surrounds.
Makes you want to get outside!

Re: Interesting Trekking Boots
Awesome thanks Manveruon and Taurinor for the helpful info!
My feet are definitely pretty wide sounds like Viking Leathers might be a solid choice then. Just want to find something “periodâ€-like and also functional for longer endurance treks.

Re: Interesting Trekking Boots
They do look quite heavy, almost remind me of a motorcycle boot more than anything. There’s also the arm street boots which appear less bulky and the price is better. It fluctuates often. https://m.armstreet.com/store/footwear/medieval-outdoor-fantasy-boots-forest I agree with Tuarinor in that may...

Interesting Trekking Boots
I came across some pretty cool looking boots that would also seem to have a utilitarian use. Viking Leather boot link below. What is everyone’s thoughts? The boot sole looks like it may need better grip but hard to say without testing it :) https://www.outfit4events.com/usd/product/3093-viking-hig...

Woah awesome clip!
Looks like fun. Hats off to being barefoot too for part of that trek. Always feels good to reconnect to the soil in a way you just can’t with things on your feet.

Agreed! Let’s do it. I’m still learning here but sounds like there are a few of us around the Bay Area!SierraStrider wrote:We Men of the West (Coast) might have to set up a moot! I'm jealous of the midwesterners having all the fun.

Re: Which tunic?
That’s awesome! I think for now, I prefer the sleeveless at least with the long sleeve linen tunic underneath. Here’s mine and my new Gondor Leather Bracer too. Kit is slowly coming along. Now time to start fine tuning some things. The green patterned shemagh I’m wearing was mine from Afghanis...
