Re: Do these blades fit?
Sure thing, they are from Origin Knives in the UK. The large knife is called the Woodsman and the smaller is the Shirley. Kevin Cuttingham is the bladesmith and does amazing work with all types of blades, I highly recommend him!

Todd definitely makes some amazing blades, crossbows too! Thank you so much for the info and your take on the designs, exactly what I was asking for!

Do these blades fit?
Hello all, I received two new blades for camping back in August and really enjoying them. The designs are a bit unusual and raised more than a few eyebrows, lol. Do you think either of them would have a place in Tolkien's world? To me the smaller is a bit Elvish but I'm not sure about the bigger one...

Re: Made a soup spoon
Very nice! How is it treated? I oiled mine, but a more durable finish would be nice. Most importantly, does it fit in your mouth? Mine came out like one of those Chinese soup spoons; the Japanese call them renge. Maybe influence from my Time in the east Right now it's just sealed with super glue, t...

Re: Rings of Power- Your thoughts?
I'll be brief as well The Elves seem more like petty humans with pointed ears Galadriel is not likable in the least and Elrond seems nothing like the character in the books The dialogue is definitely not Tolkien grade, reminds me of sitcom grade stuff I want to like it but it seems rushed and confus...

Re: Made a soup spoon
Thank you all very much! I got the idea to use super glue from a wood turners forum, they like to use it to seal the inside of goblets. I enjoy bushcraft quite a bit and the challenge of carving a spoon or cup with my knife is a fun one!

Made a soup spoon
Very rainy in Costa Rica today and to top it off I have a stuffy nose "Thank you very much" lol Since I had a new blade to try out, decided to care a spoon out of eucalyptus. All the carving was done with the knife, then sealed the wood with super glue and sanded. The runes on the handle i...

Re: Some pictures of my middle earth
That spot was over 6000' up on a mountain and the road was to a small farm. My guess is that it's later than Spaniards but I don't know. It's really wet that high up and they used to use Ox carts all the time, so roads like this were very valuable!
