Pate's got some good advice on eBaying. Pardon us going off topic for a quick jaunt, but being an eBay addict myself, I have to throw in some additional help. Saving an eBay search is nice, but you can actually change a setting so that you get the daily update on that saved search in your own email ...

Loving the coat, Pete!

It reminds me of my black vinyl Inverness Cape I have for rainy competitions with Pipe Band...awesome.

I may be tempted to make one of those sometime, though I might go the cheaper route and make it from oilcloth, simply for rainy purposes.

Found an interesting new youtube video today, that, in my opinion, just REEKS of the quick dispatches I'd expect of a ranger. Conveniently, it's all done using short swords. My favorite.

I'm moving down to San Diego soon to start working for Sony's Playstation wing, in the music and sound department soon. My current job ends a week earlier than my move, so in about a month, for my last week I'm here in LA, I'm doing a 7-day all-traditional trek with a pair of friends. We'll be sure ...

Just so you don't get all discouraged, I think most of us are planning on contributing. I just haven't had time to get a decent photo (and I'll probably have to take one with my cloak covering most everything, because I need some new pants and don't own boots yet...)

Alright, now we're talking! Andy, that's great stuff! Let's try to keep this thread going, stressing both Speed Shooting as well as drawing melee combat weapons, and the transitions between each. Video added to the list, list moved to the top of first post for easy reference. A picture is worth a th...

Steven, I'll add your link to the first post to start up an ongoing list of youtube videos of Speed Shooting Styles for a quick and easy reference. Thanks for the link! Peter, that sounds like a lot of fun! I was too busy trying to shoot ropes over tree branches with a Toys 'R Us bow to pull buckets...

Just a heads up on the clasp issue, pin the clasp through your shirt or garment underneth the cloak and you won't have the weight of the cloak riding up into your throat. I hear what you're saying, but it doesn't work well on my kit. My shirts are too thin right now and my belt pretty much epically...

Alright, fantastic! I don't know what problems you've had with clasps, but I agree with you. Clasps seems to always wind up getting pulled into my throat and I end up carrying the weight of my entire cloak on my adam's apple..not a comfortable experience. Cloak pins = the way to go, unless you mount...

I'd say I'm sold on the cloak.

Do you prefer paypal, or some other form of payment? I'll get back to you in this thread in a few days once my paycheck has cleared (might not be until the end of this week.)

Do you have pics of anything? I'm interested in the cloak (especially since it shows signs of wear...)

Is it double-layered, or just a single? Do you have some dimensions (ie. length from neck to hem, etc?)

Thanks!
