Re: WETA Gondor Buckles - Boromir, Faramir, etc.
That little "kit buckle" is also over the place - Aragorn's quiver, Faramir's cloak and Boromir's surcote we already knew: it's also on Pippin's little belt bag in Minas Tirith. Probably elsewhere, but that's all I've found so far. Very interesting discovery! In-universe , what would lead...

Northmen Guild
The Northmen Guild is an offshoot of John Neeman Tools. They seem to be interested in preserving old crafts (and selling traditional tools no doubt).
Their videos seem to evoke a definite Ranger vibe. Check it out and enjoy:

It almost looks as if he incised the lines in the metal, rather than casting it.

Re: Modifying a 20$ bota
I seem to recall that on the California Ren-Faire circuit, there was a vendor making turned and threaded wooded stoppers for these. It may have been a violation of some health and safety code to make and sell them, because I have never seen them again.

Re: Modifying a 20$ bota
Very nice! Cool "kit-bashing" project. I have a bota from Botas of Boulder when they were still in business. I've attached a pic of me with it. One of the (many) problems with most of these botas is that the retention straps that are supposed to hold on to the strap are made from the cheap...

Some modern orc-hybrids may be using the tower to generate energy for their mysterious industries.
