Review: Albion Crecy
I’ve been interested in the Albion Crecy ever since I held one at he NY Blade Show a few years back. At the time I had a CF Borderwatch on order with a Crecy blade so I didn’t bother ordering one. When this one came up in the classifieds I knew it was time to take the plunge and finally own a Cr...

Re: Swords and Daggers
DO NOT get the cold steel poly swords. They are terrible and don't hold up under ernest training and can break in a dangerous way. They're also not even close to the balance of a real sword. If you want a waster to bang around go to woodenswords.com and get either a wooden waster or the Penti III+....

Re: Swords and Daggers
I have Cold Steel poly swords and they have held up just fine under hard usage. I have others as well; all have done just fine. I have hand and a half, standard medieval, katanas, wakizashi, Kbars, and gladii. I even have tomahawks. LOL Thus far I have had no problem with any of them, whether used ...

Re: Scenario - February 2014
While my plan has a lot to be desired, you guys are a bunch of pyros ! :P " It is early summer...clear skies, temperatures in the eighties, and dry. Quite dry. " I'm trying to protect life and property, while the rest of you seem to want to create huge bonfires and roast the goats and the...

Re: Custom Re-Worked Blade/Sword Build Progress
The tang is too long for a Norman, I think. Owned one of those, too (my second favorite of the H/T line). Didn't he say he shortened the blade at the shoulders? I could be reading it wrong. It wouldn't be the first time. I was thinking it could also be the medieval single hand but the fuller too na...

Re: Scenario - February 2014
Seeing as we only have a half hour to plan, what I'd do is extreme and simple. I'd get the children in the cart and charge the 4 teens with guarding them and getting them to the nearest village ASAP. Next I'd have the remaining people burn one structor. Then I'd divide my 12 combatants in to two gro...

http://kultofathena.com/product.asp?item=500020&name=Classic+Medieval+Sword Ok Im thinking about this sword. Anything I should be concerned about? Go for it. It's a very decent entry level sword. That particular model has gotten some great reviews. If you want a personal reference, I have one a...

Re: New Finds- Please read the first post before replying
That Albion Prince is located only about two hours from me. Also, I'm sad that the pommel is steel rather than bronze. Good price, though. I prefer the steel version. I'm going to try and work something out if it doesn't sell. I wouldn't be able to pay till around the 15th so bidding is out of the ...

Re: The Rangers Web Series
How about a zweihander  A Zweihander is a dedicated two handed sword. Its came in to being around the 16th century and was used more like a pole arm then a sword. It was terrible for close combat. Usually the combatant had a short sword at his side for close quarters. It was also not carri...

Re: The Rangers Web Series
Not to be a stick in the mud here but.....two handed bastard sword? No such animal existed. A two handed sword is, as simply as can be put, a sword that needs two hands to be used. A Bastard sword, or hand and a half, is usually a sword that's used one handed but the grip length can accommodate two ...
