Re: Beorning Honey Cakes
You and your sister are most welcome Barandir, I'm actually a baker and have been GF for 35 or so years now and have a wealth of recipes tricks and hints if ever you need something. If you're making them for home and aren't aiming for accurate ingredients I would absolutely trade the hazelnut meal f...

Re: What's everyone working on?
Not a suggestion regarding your bag, that is awesome work, but I would reconsider the tankard at the belt.

Fishing reel
Not mine but I saw this simple little fishing reel shared on a Viking page by one Lars Herrmann which I thought would be appreciated here for it's simplicity and overall aesthetic. It would make an excellent and cheap bit of pocket trash. https://i.imgur.com/M2uWabal.jpg https://i.imgur.com/YomqrxOl...

Oaths and cursing
I am currently wallowing in a hedonistic pit of guilty pleasure that is Conan the Barbarian. All the books, all the comics, all the movies, the soundtrack and even the terrible cartoon. I grew up reading Conan and it wasn't until this revisit that I realised just how formative an influence it was as...

Love to see you having fun Iodo. Is young Master Ionite going to be joining you in the Fellsward ranks any time soon?

Re: Middle Earth Cattle and Dairy Products
A quick reply which I may flesh out later. This ties in loosely with something I've been looking at lately which is the prevalence of winding horns in the Lord of the Rings. Obviously such horns can come from either sheep, goat or cow. They can be made entirely from metal but organic would likely be...

Re: MERF Random Adventure Pictures
I had the joy this weekend of having young Aranor accompany me on a trip down the Greyflood. He had to put up with me singing 'Hey Tom Bombadil!' but seems to have somehow enjoyed himself despite that.

Re: And they sang as they slew
Ahem... well yes....
As I am off on an adventure next week I may have concocted some early April tomfoolery. I hope it at least bought a smile.
Though I can confirm that at least one Ranger (after only a brief scan of the lyrics) was fooled for longer than they should have been.
