Re: Esgaroth - Merchant Adventurer Sword
cool research, just for ideas sake and despite me very poor attempt at elvish characters (dwarves are not gifted at such things LOL), this is something like what I imagined: sword 1.jpg but this was only what I saw when I looked at it, you can give it what ever story you think best fits your impress...

Re: Show Me Your Hot Kits
I'm curious if anybody has tried using a waist cape? (Basically a cape around your waist to protect your backside more when sitting on things. It can be used to provide extra padding, insulation, mud/snow/water protection. Years ago I put together a very accurate historical impression of a pit brow...

Re: Esgaroth - Merchant Adventurer Sword
That looks real nice :P and I know elvish swords aren't meant to be curved but to my eye, that looks like it could be elvish, the ends of the curved hand guard are almost leaf shaped, if you could engrave or etch the veins of a leaf onto each side and add some elvish characters it would be a very ni...

Re: New utility/fighting knife
Iodo: I'm a re-enactor and I have to be aware of the legal hoops I have to jump through. It's not even imports, DHL and most of the major courier companies won't ship knives or bladed weapons out of the UK (my sword almost got destroyed in such a debacle) Yikes! that sort of thing is why I am terri...

Re: Arrow deflection
Interesting, I have never shot in a forest due to a combination of not having anywhere to try it and a general fear of loosing arrows, this makes me wonder if it might be possible to deliberately deflect arrows to hide your location, probably not for me but maybe for an elf?

No problem, glad you like it and honestly I am yet to make a sheath for this, I have been to busy but I had in mind a traditional seax sheath with some matching tooling and some brass trim

Brilliant writing, but I'm sad that the girl didn't survive. Granny Ash is my favourite character so far, she is very discworld

Re: Dúnadan Ranger Illustrated Kit By Layers
I’m also considering turning my attention away from Dúnedain culture a little to try my hand at illustrating some examples of other races and cultures. I’d love to do a detailed depiction of Dwarven kits from different regions of Middl-earth, for example, and I’ve been considering doing some Elf an...

Re: Dúnadan Ranger Illustrated Kit By Layers
Great work, I absolutely love it, something like that to study would have been so useful back when I was just starting out, nicely done
And I like that short sleeved tunic in your female example, would it be cheeky to assume there was some inspiration from my kit???
