Re: Art thread? Might take some fun small requests if people want.
I have never seen vanbraces in any historical context, nor in a tolkien one (except Imrahil?). I also think they look too "high fantasy" to be common in Tolkien. They simply feel to Weta(nothing wrong with that but its not what im aiming for) to be in my taste. :P That's fair, everyones i...

I like the patterns you've chosen to use on the edges of his tunic and jerkin
it's interesting that you don't show him with vambraces when that's in most peoples mental image, is there any specific thought behind this?

How To: Embed images from imgur
After setting up an imgur account and uploading the images to an album, they can be embedded in a thread, here's how: first, you go into the album while logged in, you should get this page: http://i.imgur.com/hnyDmy8.png then you click on the image and you get this page: https://i.imgur.com/4ULaWKI....

Re: Starting to Assemble a Dwarven Toolkit
That book looks good, there seems to be a lot of it on google images, thanks for that There's not so many relics you trip over them, but they're common enough a bit of calling around turns them up fairly easily. Is it the situation the same there? (We lost a lot of our old treasures to WWII metal dr...

Re: Starting to Assemble a Dwarven Toolkit
The idea of a dwarf tool roll is very exciting! While I understand the appeal of being a jack-of-all-trades, I kindof want you to pick one trade just to see how nitty-gritty your toolkit could get. (I agree that toymaker would be fascinating) Even knowing the crafting skill of dwarves, looking at t...

Re: Sleighs and other winter transport? And fur jackets
A kit including this kind of thing would be fascinating to see and I'm going to quote Taurinor when I say "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, so just because there’s no mention of something doesn’t necessarily mean it isn't there" Just as a note, that is a line of logic m...

Re: Sleighs and other winter transport? And fur jackets
I would say that it is likely that the Dalesmen used them, as dale and northern sweden have a lot in common. The sleigh would be a useful and practical asset for all dalish homeasteaders. It is most likely used for going to dale in the winter months, to sell the summer and fall produce, such as fur...

Re: Sleighs and other winter transport? And fur jackets
As im from Northern sweden i have access to some sleighs from the 1800s, and my family happen to have horses. So ive been thinking about sleighs in Middle Earth, are they mentioned anywhere? I can't seem to remember any, but you people maybe know? A kit including this kind of thing would be fascina...
