Yes, I am familiar with it. Used to play it somewhat frequently, then life made me take a break, and I am actually now preparing to play a few games this winter when I have some free time.

Lots of Fun, I got myself 3 armies: Gondor, Mordor and The Faithful Dúnedain. Definitely worth playing even if a bit expensive

That one, and the larger War of the Ring, are both outstanding games. I love the mechanics in them.

I have not been able to actually play the game, but I am very fond of painting the miniatures. I have been doing miniatures since about 1979.
I am Ringulf the Dwarven Woodsman, I craft leather, wood, metal, and clay,
I throw axes, seaxes, and pointy sticks, And I fire my bow through the day.
Come be my ally, lift up your mead! We'll search out our foes and the Eagles we'll feed!

If you are building an Isengard army, Saruman is always a very potent hero.

A suggestion, though: Ebay. Don't buy direct from GW if you don't need to. Way too expensive. You'd be surprised at the kind of deals out there on Ebay if you take the time to find them. The best deals are usually large mixes of somewhat random models. You can get away with around 30% of retail price sometimes.

Depends on the seller. A seller can choose to indicate on his auction whether or not he offers international shipping. If it doesn't say, you can ask in a message, and most will be willing, from my experience.

If you choose to try Ebay, I also suggest you use this free bid-sniping website: http://justsnipe.com/. I use this tool every time I get anything from Ebay. It can basically guarantee that you will win an auction up to the maximum price you are willing to pay.

LOTR is literally the ONLY GW game I do not play.

I have been playing since college......so 1996.

i teach HS English and I am the sponsor of the Gaming Club. We only play CCGs and table top games....NO video games!

The only reason I do not play LOTR is that just aren't many players locally.....

It is a great hobby and I love everything about it!
Here I stand...unbowed, unbent, unbroken.

I don't play, but I enjoy painting the figures. Got a bunch that need painting for Kiri's display she wants to make in the house.
Still round the corner there may wait a new road or a secret gate and though I oft have passed them by a day will come at last when I shall take the hidden paths that run west of the moon, east of the sun.
