Leather Boots from Armstreet

Post by mg2Arnor »

So I really want to invest in some good footwear next, and I found these new boots the other day. They are from Armstreet, and while they may not pass the test for the reenactment society, they look like good rangering boots. Thoughts? Would these hold up in the wild?

I've a couple sets of Armstreet shoes: the older set (c.2012) is nicer, but both are decent. I think provided you make certain the leather weight is what you're expecting, you'll be quite happy.

If I remember right, both Armstreet and Boots by Bohemond have been recommended before on this forum. I've no personal experience with them myself but they seem nice enough.

I ordered these in brown. I should have them in a couple of weeks for some photos!

I've shared some pics of these in the Facebook group, but had not shared any here. I apologize for the cross-posting if you've already seen these. I really do like them, all except for the lacing. So. Much. Lacing.

Nice. Are those from Armstreet? I have the forest boots, very similar to those.

Looks great! They certainly match the description of Aragorn at the Prancing Pony. Save for one thing...
high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud.
Now to get out there and use them!

Those boots look great! Let us know how they hold up after some treks, I'd be interested in the info. I've thought about purchasing a pair myself in the past.
