New belt pouch

Hard Kit is all other accoutrements that are not clothing, weapons or armour. This includes pots and tents, and flint & steel, and other things like that.

New belt pouch

Post by theowl »

I've been wanting to try a sporran style pouch for a while and I got ahold of some deerskin, so i gave it a shot. The flap was begging for some artwork, I think I made a good choice.

Oh I like that construction technique for the body: it gives a nice shape! I've always liked that closure method to: nice and simple. :)
... does it have an inside divider, or is a single big pocket in there?

Just one big pocket. I thought about doubling up the back wall to make a smaller tighter pouch for loose items but opted against it. I am looking for excuses to make another one, so that's an idea.

Awesome work. Do you find that closure style to be efficient?

It works pretty well, it's just a loop that goes around the button, so gravity does most of the work.
