My blades can be used for self-defence, & offence, but the knives must also serve me for skinning & butchering game & eating. A dagger is a poor choice for these latter chores, & I do not like heavy clumsy belt knives. I carry three knives, a large butcher knife at the belt, a smaller butcher blade in the top of my right legging, & a friction clasp knife in my weskit pocket.
My belt knife or hunting knife.
My legging knife.
This is the new clasp knife that I made recently.
20th century carbon steel blades with cutler rivets can be converted to pins quite easily with just a few simple hand tools & a little of your time. These blades, & in fact 19th century blades with pinned handles can often be picked up in second hand shops & op-shops for very reasonable prices.
This was a 20th century butcher knife with a cutler riveted handle. I removed the old handle & secured a new handle with pins.
This is a French butcher blade before conversion.
This is the same French butcher knife after my conversion.
Two 19th century blades with pinned handles. One I found in a second hand shop, the other at a local street market. Both are very acceptable hunting knives as is.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less travelled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Nice blades. It's your handwork? I agree with you, your knife set is good for more works. This are my blades http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 872&type=3
Still use the Nepalese kukri for heavy work, but not my handwork.

All blades are originals except for the clasp knife blade which I made myself.
