Lurking no longer!
Lurking no longer!
I've been following the discussions on these boards for quite a while, but I finally decided to make an account, ask questions, and try to contribute if I can. I currently live smack in the middle of a city, so I'm not able to get out into the woods much, but my fiance and I are making an effort to try to get out to the archery range every weekend. I've reading fantasy novels for as long as I can remember and camping since I was a kid, so it's great to find a group of like-minded individuals.
I'm currently working on a kit inspired by the clothing and equipment of a 14th century archer, and I look forward to sharing my progress and hopefully getting some advice.
Hail and well met,
Taurynor

Welcome Ranger!
LOVE NOT THE BRIGHT SWORD FOR IT'S SHARPNESS OR THE ARROW FOR IT'S SWIFTNESS, BUT RATHER LOVE THAT WHICH THEY DEFEND

Mae govanen Taurynor! Sounds like you're in a similar situation to my own. What part of the world do you hail from?

Welcome! pull a log up to the fire, stick your boots close to the embers, grab a mug and say when!
I am Ringulf the Dwarven Woodsman, I craft leather, wood, metal, and clay,
I throw axes, seaxes, and pointy sticks, And I fire my bow through the day.
Come be my ally, lift up your mead! We'll search out our foes and the Eagles we'll feed!

What Ringulf really means is "Go chop some wood, we didn't bring much food so we're cooking your footwear and have some water because we drank the ale while you were cutting wood."Ringulf wrote:Welcome! pull a log up to the fire, stick your boots close to the embers, grab a mug and say when!

Welcome!

I'm from Virginia. It's a shame; I'm just far enough away from the Appalachians that I can't get out there for a day trek. They're lovely this time of year.Manveruon wrote:Mae govanen Taurynor! Sounds like you're in a similar situation to my own. What part of the world do you hail from?

Welcome Ranger Taurynor.
In the darkest part of Sherwoods glade, in the thickest part of the wood, there are those who say, can still be seen, the ghost of Robin Hood.
