Regional Ranger Rendesvous?

When you get out there, "the bug bites you" and it's in your system then. My next event really isn't ranger related, but in April I am getting all of the fathers and sons of our church out for a camping trip. I hope I can take a bit of time to practice a couple of skills while out there. We'll be camping in the primitive section of the campgrounds, but I don't know how much more primitive than that we will go. The majority of the gear will be modern. I may take my ranger clothing. The boots that I made are certainly going. They are soft-soled, but they offer a fair amount of protection. I've worn them to this particular park before and was surprised at how well they did. They just aren't good for traversing gravel and sharp rocks. But it's time in the woods and I'm looking forward to it.
