Add a decent sized seax (8" or so) and you have not only tools that can build shelter and keep you warm, but handle any critters (two or four legged) that might mean you harm!

Very nice peice!
And I concur, I must say that I am enjoying the axe/seax combination and the versitility they can provide for close quarter as well as short ranged combat, and the ability to make themselves useful to the warrior, outdoorsman and craftsman alike.
They are a very useful set of protective tools and practical for the Ranger to carry as a primary or secondary means of defense.

I am Ringulf the Dwarven Woodsman, I craft leather, wood, metal, and clay,
I throw axes, seaxes, and pointy sticks, And I fire my bow through the day.
Come be my ally, lift up your mead! We'll search out our foes and the Eagles we'll feed!
