I bought this from GIBow(dot)com for $50 as a U-Finish Bow. 45# and 71†tall.
A bow Bag I made to protect the bow
This is the finished bow but at 71â€, not much detail can be seen.
I gave it a light sanding, modified the grip to my hand, gave it a dark stain, then another sanding and a redwood overcoat.
I made these bow-tips from antler because I could never figure out how to put real tips on the thing.
Since I shoot off-the-hand, I carved this antler arrow rest. Then wrapped the handle in leather. You can see how I did an additional shaping but after using Tung Oil on the bow, the restaining didn’t take.
This is a sleeve that goes over the top tip to hold the string in place when not strung.
This is one that protects the bottom.
Last month I contacted justic ar GIBow and sent a drawing of a carriage-bow.
He quoted me a price of $125 which I gladly paid and the carriage bow should be arriving in a week or so.
More pics then.
