When I finally manage to get some clothes I plan on having a second complete set and several misc sets laying around. I have a friend who is going to start tanning again so I plan on getting full buckskins in different colors for pretty cheap. There is one full set I wanna buy but hope to make everything else, once I get time and money.

This topic I could see being extremely valuable to our little community as a whole, so I'd like to bring it back from the dead, keep it going, and get some of the newer members involved.

As for myself, several items have changed/joined up since I last posted in here, so I'd like to update things a bit.

Green Hooded Cloak
Swiss Rucksack
Black Pants
Leather Boots
Cream Tunic
Tan Surcoat
Kangaroo Hide Shoulder Drape for Colder Weather
Leather Bracers
Leather Chest Armor
Leather Gloves
Linen Face Mask
Wool Scarf
Wool Bedroll
Horsebow
9 arrows in Leather Back Quiver
Kukri
Ritter Steel Leaf-Bladed Boot Knife
Valiant Armoury Bristol
Tin Pot
Flint & Steel+Charcloth
50' hand twisted Rope
Mixed Nuts, Berries, and Dried Meats
1-litre leather water costrel
Pipe & Pipe Weed
Pennywhistle
Handheld Torch for Emergency lighting/utility purposes

And the things I'm planning to add to this soon or eventually:
A more suitable Canvas Tent of some sort
Falconry Equipment and my Hawk, when the time comes

My Check list:
Tunic....check.
Cloak...check.
Albion knud,scabbard & belt...check
Cold Steel battle axe....Check....Why in the heck did they discontinue this axe?!?!

Pattern welded sword by MAD...not yet.

Baldric for above...Not yet.

Surcote...not yet

These boots I want desperately bad:

......Not yet

Period tack for my horse...Not yet...All I want is a bridle, I can cover my saddle with sheepskin or somesuch. My saddle only weighs about 20 pds and I'm not going to give it up for a heavier one, I put my horses comfort above "period correctness" and secondly theres alot of sentimental value in that saddle.

Helm, splinted greaves, splinted vambrace...not yet.

Round shield...Check

Spear....Almost! I have a spear head, just need a haft.

Thats all...for now  Maybe sometime next year when my sword is paid out....

R.D., any plans to get those boots soon? I was looking at them for WMA and for a 15th century kit but haven't spoken to anyone that own them as of yet. They do look nice though. The question is will they hold up to use.

Thanks, I like them, mainly because the length of my tunic and the height of the boots would make buying period pants unnesecary...I can never spell that word ... I like my wrangler jeans. Add to that I live in timber rattler and copper head country with one hundred more rattlers scheduled for release this summer...so the height is a good thing. Hopefully soon I'll be squared away with the sword and can afford the boots and few other things I want.

Mike, I honestly dont know when I'll get them but I've heard some good things about Talbot/ Revival clothing, at the price point, I would hope they live up to their reputation. I would certainly be pissed to pay that much for something that didnt hold up.

on another note,
Some things I plan on making:
The dagger outlined in my Blacksmithing thread

a small "utility seax"

a canvas belt bag treated with oil and roughly based on a pouch from Birka.

A larger oiled canvas bag to serve as a light ruck. It'll probably be just a big drawstring bag with a flap and shoulder sling

At some point I also want to try a short sword to replace my knud as a back up sword, I want a sword that would be practical to wear on my back.

I don't remember seeing any type of signal or whistle or anything of the such. Being so spread out like we are we wont know each other well enough to know where and how we move through the woods when we are together. I think at a ranger gathering we would need to signal our approach so we don't end up looking like a pin cushion  .

http://jas-townsend.com/product_info.ph ... cts_id=159

I will be ordering one unless anyone else knows somthing affordable that we could all get alike.

A whistle is a good idea, and/or maybe a horn?

I'd prefer a blowing horn over a whistle. Far more gondorian...and far more epic. I carry one already...forgot to throw that on the list!

EDIT: Ahh, shoot! My blowing horn's in LA! Dangit!
