New Canteen/Cooking pot

So here's something a little different. A late 18th-early 19th century Danish cooking kettle that doubles as a canteen and was used by their soldiers in that period for both purposes. Comes with a leather sling for carrying. The sling is oak tanned leather and the adjustment buckle is hand forged iron. Stitching on the leather is hand done with waxed linen thread.
I'll be using this for my Middle Earth trekking.

I like the cauldron-like bottom, instead of it being simply a cylinder. Great find! Where did you get it?

That's very cool! What are the dimensions? I can't guess from the picture. Also, how is it used to carry water? Does the lid fit on very tightly?

Very shiny, I like it! Always nice for an adventurer to be able to save weight/space by combining two items (canteen/cookpot). Is it tinned? Capacity? And I would also like to know where you found such a wonderful treasure.

I'll try to answer the questions as best I can.

Yes, it is tin lined and food safe.

This was obtained for me by a very dear friend in Norway who reenacts the Napoleonic wars there fought between Denmark/Norway and Sweden. They can be had in Norway and Denmark for around 100$. The pot has a central locking seam where it was forged together. These are excellently made and I can see easily why they've been kept around.

The capacity is about 6 cups or .48 ounces.

The lid fits tightly but it is not totally sealed. If the pot tips it would spill. Filling it about half and with how it's slung keeps it upright and prevents water from sloshing out.

It is 6 1/2 inches tall by 20 inches round.

Basically it is a porridge pot like the one offered by Goose Bay there but with a different suspension set up. Goose bay is one of my favorite 18th century sources!

I was trying to see if I could find one that cost less than Goose Bay but it is similarly priced.
