New Pouch
New Pouch
I liked the design I did for the pouch I made Taylor so much that I made it a standard offering on my website, and I made a slightly modified version for myself. I made mine out of dark brown bison with a button I carved out of some cocobolo scrap. The design on the flap is something I cobbled together out of a few different designs from here, Tolkien sketches, and stuff I thought flowed well.

Thanks! I've been toying with the design for a while. I think this is the 8 or 9th draft, but I'm very happy with this version.Elleth wrote:Oh that's lovely!

Nice work, beautiful tooling
Gimli: It's true you don't see many Dwarf-women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for Dwarf-men.
Aragorn: It's the beards.

Yeah, I absolutely love this. On Instagram I believe you said you used a 5-ounce buffalo leather from Hide House, right? I'm surprised that it worked so well with a 5-ounce leather! Seems a little heavier than I would probably have thought to use for a pouch like this. It turned out just beautifully though!

Re: New Pouch
It's relatively thick but still flexible. So it's easy to get it into the shape you want and supple enough to work well as a pouch, but overall it keeps it's shape. I'm a big fan of this leather, I recently redid my shoulder bag and it's my favorite bag so far.Manveruon wrote:Yeah, I absolutely love this.
