I LOVE YOUR LITTLE FRODO HE IS AWESOME!
FWIW on the films: while I think the Hobbit trilogy started out muddled and turned execrable, I agree with you that the LotR one still holds up well.
I've got lots of quibbles toward the end of the LotR trilogy, but FotR was a masterwork pretty much start to finish - and the rest I think still quite good on balance.
