I did yet another overnighter (March 7th - 8th) at Caledon State Park (it's where I like to take folks to sort of ease them into the "trekking" thing), and I took the opportunity to take a picture of my gear as it is now! This has made the rounds on FB, but I wanted to post it here, as well. I didn't feel like starting a new topic, so please excuse the necroposting and consider this an update. Things have changed a bit in 5 years!

It's a beautiful layout, and a fantastic example of functional trekking. Bravo!
Now the sword shall come from under the cloak.

Awesome set up! Thanks for the update on your kit!
"A little apart the Rangers sat, silent, in an ordered company, armed with spear and bow and sword. They were clad in cloaks of dark grey, and their hoods were cast now over helm and head."
