also look into some manuscripts and people interpretations of them regarding spears
for example here is some of Talhoffers spear

Fiore, Meyer, Liechtenauer etc all have some really good spear stuff in them. also Staff techniques work with spears easy and some does some polearm (poleaxe, billhook etc) also works
