First forged blade
First forged blade
Just finished up the sheath on the first knife I've forged (couple weeks ago now)
Moose antler andle and sheath lower, leather oak-tanned cowhide upper, and home-tanned deerskin loop.
Not intentionally middle-earth, but fits it well I think.

Nice and the combination scabbard is unique and fits the style well.
Re: First forged blade
Yes! It's modelled after the Såmi and Finnish etc. leather and antler handled, though I haven't seen any of those made with bark-on moose antler spikes (usually reindeer shaft sections)

Very Såmi indeed. More please!
But the white fury of the Northmen burned the hotter, and more skilled was their knighthood with long spears and bitter. Fewer were they but they clove through the Southrons like a fire-bolt in a forest.

Very nice. I love Finnish history so that sheath is awesome.
