In my workshop I had a shield boss that had some rust/pitting, as well as a leather buckler body that was left in the wax too long and got some weird scorch marks on the front. Today I decided to not let them go to waste and made myself a new buckler. I cut a star design out of some green oil tan and stitched it over the top, and chemically darkened the boss to give it a cool look. I've been carrying a single hand sword recently, so this will be a nice addition to my kit for the off hand.
