Waterproofing for Canvas
I am making a rain cloak out of canvas for my soft kit. Unfortunately, I am not particularly familiar with waterproofing, especially not with canvas. What would you deem to be the best method for such a project?

Well your options are Oilskin/oilcloth, Waxed (like a Barbour jacket) or Lanolin..... I'd suggest watching this vid by Iodo before deciding on a 'Slicker' or not

Both Iodo and I are UK based, so we have experience with bad* weather.
Where in the world are you ?
*Bad as in unpleasant rather then deadly

Re: Waterproofing for Canvas
I am in the state of Oklahoma. We get some pretty heavy rainfall in the spring to summer months, so I wanted something for the occasion that I get caught in a downpour.
