New Shield
Here is a shield I made a couple of weeks ago out of 3/4 birch plywood I forged the boss, staples and guige rings and grip whis is wrapped with rough out bison leather left over from my coat.

Thank you all for the kind words Here is a pic of the tooled strap, not having much in the way of tools I just transferred my design onto the leather and tooled/embossed it with a stylus, like the cuff I posted this strap also features some stamping as well.

What did you use to secure the edging? round-head brass tacks?

I just used the cheap bronze upholstery tacks from Ace.
