New Finds- Please read the first post before replying
Re: New Finds- Please read the first post before replying
I recently came across this seax and thought someone may be interested. It's very basic with just a larger wrap for grip, but the simplicity would make it fit any ranger's gear.

4/29 Spears: 2 Windlass spearheads and butts mounted, shipping included starting at $125.00
the heads and buttcaps would cost just about that much. With the shafts and shipping included, it's a good deal for anyone looking to add some spears to your armory.

5/13 Albion Spatha from Albion Europe

Currently extremely low bid...MAKE SURE YOU CHECKOUT THE SHIPPING PRIOR TO BIDDING..It's high due to the piece being located in Europe. Even with the shipping this could end up being a really good deal.

Shipping is the killer. I've given up a LOT of great deals when Ichecked the shipping.
because:
**I bought a brass sextant for something like $35... then after the bill showed on my credit card, I had forgotten to look at the shipping which was well over $150.
**So when I had to buy replacement tent poles from my large tent, I saw shipping was $8 for a $3 pole. I bought three sets of poles and a couple walls to kick the price up past the $8 shipping.
**One artist I like made a poster-map of Mars, but the shipping was twice the cost of the poster-map so I declined.
**However, I bought a boat-trailer which came 'free shipping' which generally means that youi drive to the railroad and pick it up from the boxcar yourself. the company shipped it Fed-Ex for free and the 5 boxes totalld at over 200#. Shipping must have cost the company more than I paid for the trailer.
I am just one of those people who got burned on shipping so badly so often (I'm a slow learner) that I cannot accept paying more to the shipper than the cost of the item.
And unfortunatly, a lot of the blade dealers have high shipping rates.

Those who give up a little freedom in place of a little security will soon discover that they possess neither.

I've been watching that. I'm betting the reserve is set at $650. If its under $500 then its a deal even with the shipping. I'd contact him though because I spent less sending a sword to Australia.Peter Remling wrote:5/13 Albion Spatha from Albion Europe

Christian Fletcher Ranger Sword Now $ 800
This was posted on SBG and has been reduced to the now very nice price of $ 800. I thought I'd link it over here where there is a lot of interest in a Ranger sword.

I'd possibly drop him a line if I didn't have to join another forum to do it. Nice item though

Over on SBG there is a leather praetorian armor set for sale that has been slowly dropping in price, it is now at $750 +3% paypal fee. http://www.sword-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=21011 He is at the point now he wont drop price any further and if it doesn't sell plans to keep it.
Image for those not familiar with the style.
The seller claims is was $1600 new, and it has never been worn. He says the size is xtra large.
Just figured I would pass on this deal here as some might take interest. At such a price reduction if one were interested it is a great deal.
