I recently decided to switch all my belt gear over to one largish pouch.

the pouch:

The Gear:

-small length of cord for securing my cloak when its worn horshoe pack style
-long length of braided hemp spindle of artificial sinew
-length of unbraided hemp string.
-sling
-sling
-plastic coin
-simple comb
-whetstone
-pemmican (wrapped in plastic)
-antler gorge hook with length of line
-cloak brooch and alternate on swatch of felt
-fire starting kit, flint and steel (inside leather pouch)

I like it! Good coverage of some of the basic needs. I especially like the sling!

I like it too! Love this sort of thing, sometimes what we carry with us is like a story itself, picking up things along the way.

Nice. Covers the basic needs, like already said, but all in one pouch. Having everything that's "mandatory" in one place makes you feel immensely more comfortable with dropping pack at a base camp and venturing out for firewood, etc.
Now the sword shall come from under the cloak.

I Like the sling....I never was very acurate with one though. Thanks for sharing.

Niether am I. But i figure its light, small. And a good way to pass the time / gets some practice on down time. Plus my character would most likely be taking potshots from ambush on ranks of soldiers. So as long as i can get the stones flying down range thats really all i need.
