I've swung the blade many times, and if you don't have strong forearms, your pretty much screwed! Eothain and I are skinny guys, but we are both musicians and have been fighting with blade and bo staff for MANY years! All of which have built our forearms. Start doing finger curls and the farmer's walk and you'd be fine.

As for it being a two hand only blade, Yes and no. I've managed to pull some pretty tricky maneuvers with it in one hand, but my forearms are probably the strongest muscle on my body. I couldn't do this with my left hand I don't think, so thats where the no comes in.

All and all, beautiful blade and it feels like it's natural to control. Almost as if its alive like our brethren talk about.
