Re: New Sword
Congratulations on your new sword.
As with many people you may feel like doing some test cutting with your sword, if this is the case, remember to remove the head from the box. Cutting through bone shouldn't be done till after you've done some cutting and know how your sword will track. *

It's beautiful! Have you named it?

Re: New Sword
The one down side to this post is that it's making me get super antsy for my own sword to get here. I've been waiting on it for six months, and the anticipation is killing me!

Re: New Sword
Very nice. Looks like a perfect day for swinging it in the yard and scaring the crap out of the neighbors.

Re: New Sword
Very nice looking sword. If I used two-handed swords I would be tempted to get one my self.

Nice Blade! May it serve you well Ranger!

Re: New Sword
Congrats! The arrival date of a new sword is unparalleled in the world, in my opinion. There are other toys whose arrival days can be comparable in excitement, but those rarely (if ever) end in a backyard littered with scraps of milk jugs and water bottles.
Manveruon, I'm rooting for you! It'll be soon! At least, I sure hope it is...I want to see it in YOUR hands [preferably in your gear, of course] but I also have an alterior motive...I want Ernie's order list to clear up a little bit so I can sneak mine in there!

Now the sword shall come from under the cloak.

Re: New Sword
I think I have decided on Abrazan, which means "steadfast'. Seems simple, but I like it. It's an Adunaic name for the second age and the beginning of the third age. It's either that or Abrazir - "Steadfast-friend".Addreonynn Lightfoot wrote:It's beautiful! Have you named it?

Re: New Sword
I cannot blame you for feeling so! I've followed the threads on your sword and am excited for you! I'm thankful it only took about a couple months for mine, and have never been so impatient. Hope to see your sword in your hand soon, my friend!Manveruon wrote:The one down side to this post is that it's making me get super antsy for my own sword to get here. How's the weight? I've heard Darksword is very heavy

Re: New Sword
I don't know about this particular sword but they have gotten much better in general lately. Your starting to see proper mass distribution including distal tapering in their blades.Rifter wrote:How's the weight? I've heard Darksword is very heavy
By the way, Congrats in the new sword.

Re: New Sword
I've looked over their site a few times as they are domestic shipping for me...but the weight on the specs on the site....I like using one or two arms for my blade...these I get a distinct image of you need two
