Elven Ranger clothing

Post by Arbellason »

I've been looking to put together a clothing kit for a while and I have come to the conclusion that I'd like to have it more elvish in style. I've found sites and made some things by myself but the one thing that alludes me is boots I've found a fairly decent pair on Kult of Athena but I would like to know what other people think of them before I go buying.

Love the tunic.

For boots try one of these, all offered of Kult of Athena:

http://www.kultofathena.com/product.asp ... th+Buckles

http://www.kultofathena.com/product.asp ... nkle+Boots

For an elvan flair, the first ones would be best.

GDFB (Get Dressed for Battle) products have good reviews and you can't beat KOA for standing behind their products with great Customer Service.

You might also want to check out this site. I know a couple of Rangers have had good luck. I plan on going with these guys too.

I agree- those first boots are awesomely Elvish.

I like the tunic for an Elf Ranger, too.

Thanks for the new sites I'll look into some of them some more now just to start getting the funds.

I am now the proud owner of a pair of Viking Leathecrafts 13th Century ankle boots, so I can attest to the fact that they do appear to be good quality, and they fit well. I haven't actually worn them out and about yet though, so I may have to reserve judgement until I see how well they hold up to continued use. my only criticism of them is that I'm not a huge fan of how pointed the toe is. It's not terribly severe, but I just prefer a round toe a bit more.

That being said, I think the boots you put at the top of this post seem just fine for an elven ranger. I believe Museum Replicas produced those, and they're a fairly reputable company, but I believe I remember hearing that the quality of some of their clothing and accessories can be a bit uneven. I do actually know one person who owns a pair of those exact boots though, and if you want I can hit him up to see how well he likes them, and how durable they've been overall.

As for the rest of the boots mentioned above, they all appear to be quite nice, especially for the money, but it's up to you whether or not you think they have a particularly elven look. That first pair of Viking boots definitely does, but with the curly toe, I'd probably stay away from them myself (never have been a huge fan of that look).

In the end, I think you've got a great idea of the look you're going for, and you should definitely pursue it!

Also, someone else posted this in another part of the forum just the other day, but if you want an AMAZING example of someone who has put together a beautiful Elven ranger kit, check out the pictures on this site:
