Archery Tournament in Kentucky

Post by robinhoodsghost »

All my brother Rangers are welcome to come out to the traditional archery contest June 28th and 29th at the Kentucky Highland ren festival in Kentucky.

facebook site.... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Archery- ... 27?fref=ts

All bows must be traditional, single string with no cams or sights. Arrows must be tipped with field points. They do reserve the right to turn anyone away from the tournament based on improper or unsafe equipment.

They will have 7 classes this year!

Class list 2014:

PeeWee's - 0-6
Children - 7-12
Youth - 13-17
Ladies - 18 and over
Men's - 18 and over
Open (50/50 pot) - Open to all ages
Accuracy (50/50 pot) - Open to all ages

Web site.... http://www.kyrenfaire.com/

Any Ranger that shows up from the forum will get all the ale he can drink ( which is about 3 before I stop paying) after the tourney.

In the darkest part of Sherwoods glade, in the thickest part of the wood, there are those who say, can still be seen, the ghost of Robin Hood.

I wish I could make it, but it's a bit far to travel. This does sound like a lot of fun.

Hope to see some fellow rangers out next year. we had about 24 traditional archers this year and a great time was had by all.

Your pics didn't link, but I am happy to hear about you and your wife's placings. Well done, Rangers.

Alas, my work computer blocks Facebook, but I'd love to see some of the photos (also, going by Mirimaran's post, the privacy settings may be set so people who aren't on your friends list can't see them). Any chance you can copy some of them to the forum?
