Just finished scabbard

A central place to talk about weapons and armour, as it relates to your kit. This is where you show it of or talk about making it. Discussing the relative merits of types of weapons goes in the WMA section.

Just finished scabbard

Post by Peter Remling »

This is a scabbard I just finished for an Atrim 1555. I got the sword 10 monthes ago and blackened the furniture with the Blue Wonder product mentioned elsewhere. As the sword reminded me of old Michael Moorcock covers of his Elric series I was going to have the metallic red core show through the leather as runes but decided against it just today. It has a plain black leather scabbard and belt. The last pic will give you an idea as to the swords size. The model holding the sword is my lovely (after all she is holding the sword) wife, Joanne.

I agree! The pics looked fine in the tiny camera viewer but put them up on a larger screen and they look like crap. Guess i'll have to drink some "nerve" tonic the next time.

Great work, Pete! It really suits that 1555 8)
