Sorry it was short and didn't make much since.

This is an extension of the slightly hijacked service thread. The purpose of this is to discuss a Ranger community.

I don't want to repost any of the links or info that some people already posted I will let them do it.

My bad on the thread hijack... but I blame Garet... :-P

Email me for our site.

Bedford is cool, I've looked them over a few times. I think we're going for something more permanent and less public. Like... a closed community that allows visitors under certain conditions instead of disneyland. or a renfairre thing, you know?

here are some other sweet sites for housing creation:
http://www.simondale.net/house/ - this guy actually has built quite a few houses. His current project (I believe) is a multi-family giant house

Who is up for a ranger trip to the UK to learn to build these houses with Simon Dale??? http://www.simondale.net/house/involve.htm

http://www.balewatch.com/ - cool designs

There were more but I lost them.

There's a sweet tolkien village somewhere around here in bend that I ahve yet to visit, but it looks like it's going under http://www.bendbulletin.com/apps/pbcs.d ... v_category

I was told it was Capanelli...he's been hiding all quiet-like, letting Gareth take the blame for months...

Glad to see we were able to keep this thread on topic, unlike the one that spawned it...

Topic? There was a topic? I thought we were aimlessly slinging accusations and having fun at others' expense! :P

Haha. Threads are for hijacking, if we get too serious we all go crazy.

Gareth: No coal? That is sad, because I am having trouble finding coal. The environmentalists are ruining my medieval expeirence. I'll recycle my plastic and use clean oil in my car but I want my coal!

Peter: If you tell everyone about sneaky PMs it negates the sneakiness, how am I supposed to cause shinanigans with you outing me? Hehe.

Thread: Sorry for derailing, allow me to try to get back on topic.

Pop quiz for the rangers: if the project got off the ground and we end up with a sizable piece of land, who would be interested in like, a week long visit where we ranger ourselves around the property and build a house or two? I think the Inn/tavern/lounge/stables is the first building we're going to build, so we can use it as a sort of home-base for the rest of the work. Eh? Eh?

well life permitting you could count me in. I'd love to take part in that, even if only for a week.
