Garb Pics from the Fair
As I mentioned on the Birds of Prey post, we went to the NY Renfair today, garb pics attached
This is me in the leather duster I made several monthes ago, carrying an Atrim 1503, dagger and a longbow in the leather bowcase I made. You can't really make out either as the duster is tucked behind my sword and the bowcase and quiver are on my back. I really need to take some photography lessons!

Next is Jessie in the completed Cat Clan outfit:

I addded one other thing to her kit, a recovered teardrop bota with a braided leather strap:

The last shots are of us shortly after entering, Cheryl's was put together quickly as she normally doesn't like to go to the fair. She was happy with it, as she didn't really have to carry anything:

Nice! Good looking kits there. It's great to be able to carry/wear things that you made yourself.

Re: Garb Pics from the Fair
Thanks for the kind words.
While I'm on the topic of the fair. I talked to one of the folkes at the kids pony ride and got an okay for some pics in the future. I took some measurements of the pony and am going to make a prop packsaddle loaded with prop stuff and get a couple of pics before the Fair ends. I plan on bringing up several cameras so I should get a lot more pics later in the season. A couple of items of interest for those attending are Capricorn Armory now has a permanent building. They were working out of a tented area for the past 5 years. Mayhawke Armoury is now carrying Lutels, so you can get a good look these fine imports.
One last thing, Lars Lunde is going to be starting up his foundry(Lundegarde' Armoury) again now that he has a house in the area. Lars used to make some very fantastic fantasy castings for sword and dagger furniture. If I can find an old catalog I'll scan some pics. He bought his blades from various makers that included John Lundemo when John was not so well known. Lars still makes cast badges for SCA and Renfair guilds. He casts in pewter, bronze and silver. If we ever settle on a Ranger design, I would reccommend we at least get a quote from him.

That is a great suggestion, Peter! I have seen his work in person as well, and he has an eye for the fantastic, I think, and he would be able to render a Ranger design that would be unique as well. One last thing, Lars Lunde is going to be starting up his foundry(Lundegarde' Armoury) again now that he has a house in the area. Perhaps we should re-open that topic, then. I remember many of us liking the design that's at the left side of the top of the forum...
"If you bring a Ranger with you, it is well to pay attention to him."
