Thank you for your tutorial! I ended up only doing a canvas one, as leather is a bit expensive for me at the moment. But I did put a reinforcing section on the inside of my pack on the main seam. I do want to try your eyelet and toggle method of closure, but for right now I just did a basic tie shut with some plied hemp cord.
