Southern Indiana MERF Family Day Recap [PICSPLOSION]
On a completely random, unplanned day, some complete strangers met at a previously undetermined location dressed for queer shenanigans. To Rangers, two Hobbits, one furball, two little girls with Clothing of questionable origin, and their mothers all miraculously converged on one point, and had some adventures.
This is their story.
The End.

Now the sword shall come from under the cloak.

Wow what wonderful shots!
I would have loved to be there for a family Ranger day! The children are all prescious and adorable and it was great that the ladies accompanied (I am asuming Laurie got most of the pictures?) But what stirs me most was the look of peace and joy in the eyes of my Brothers, especially you Greg!
I see you as the epitome of a tough young ranger hard as flint, yet I could not help seeing a proud and loving Poppa. Both of you had it in abundance and it is to your credit.
Remember Farimirs speech! "...but for what it defends."

I am Ringulf the Dwarven Woodsman, I craft leather, wood, metal, and clay,
I throw axes, seaxes, and pointy sticks, And I fire my bow through the day.
Come be my ally, lift up your mead! We'll search out our foes and the Eagles we'll feed!

Agreed fully with brothers Ringulf and Rifter! These are excellent and heartwarming shots!
...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.

We all had a great time- thanks for sharing the great photos. I especially like the one where I'm sitting on the log and Greg's hiding my fat belly!
Now that my wife has seen what we do, I think it'll be easier to get away for a winter hike and maybe overnight, just Rangers, Hobbits safe and warm in their holes.

What amazing pictures! I am glad to see that the next generation of Rangers are already on their way, Arnor endures!

I have not smiled this much in a very long time. You to did my heart good. Thankyou so much for sharing Rangers.
LOVE NOT THE BRIGHT SWORD FOR IT'S SHARPNESS OR THE ARROW FOR IT'S SWIFTNESS, BUT RATHER LOVE THAT WHICH THEY DEFEND

You're lucky to find a place where you can make a campfire, wear swords, and hike about in costume without arousing interest from the authorities. Good on you!
There are no safe paths in this part of the world. Remember you are over the Edge of the Wild now, and in for all sorts of fun wherever you go.

My oldest daughter manufactures smiles. It's a skill she could take right to the bank, if not for child labor laws.
As for finding trek-able areas, Kortoso...if you're where I think you are, you've got a few pretty close by! Look up the Cache Creek and Cedar Roughs Wilderness areas on Wilderness.net, to name a few I've hit.
