Peter Jackson is set to direct and Andy Serkis will be Gollum.
Hopefully, well see some Bushcrafting.
At least it won't be that woke drivel Amazon put out.

"The Hunt fo Gollum" (2026)
Re: "The Hunt fo Gollum" (2026)
I'm just glad that the fanfilm is safe. It was pulled down briefly but went back up soon after.
Re: "The Hunt fo Gollum" (2026)
I think we can all agree that Rings of Power was drivel without bringing modern politics onto the forums
For my part I love that the MERF is one of few places I can come which is free of ALL that rubbish, a place that exists solely for enjoyment of Middle Earth by like minded individuals. I know there aren't any hard and fast rules about it but as more and more content comes out the online world is going to grow more and more divided and I'd hate to see that here.
Not a personal dig at you Harper in any way.

But the white fury of the Northmen burned the hotter, and more skilled was their knighthood with long spears and bitter. Fewer were they but they clove through the Southrons like a fire-bolt in a forest.
Re: "The Hunt fo Gollum" (2026)
You are certainly entitled to your opinion.
In my opinion, that was the #2 problem with ROP (#1 being blatant deviation from Tolkiens's works).
Jackson's movies did not have that element in them.
I did not make that criticism gratuitously; it seemed both topical and reasonable to comment on that aspect.
Unfortunately, I will still watch Season 2. Hope springs eternal. It will also give me the right to gripe about it. But I won't pay for it!
P.S.--We're good, Eofer. Reasonable people can disagree and still remain friends. In fact, that used to be the norm.

Cheers mate, like I said it wasn't your particular statement. I'd have found a comment on conflict in Europe or the Middle East just as discombobulating here on the forums.
That having been said I do find it funny when folks put Jasksons works up on a pedestal. There's so much in the LoTR trilogy which is a direct deviation from the books (not even for the sake of movie constraints) and that's not even drawing The Hobbit into the fray.
